That's right! Your's Truly had a birthday today, and I'm about as close to the Four Oh as you can get, without actually being there.
Strange, but I've noticed that I pay attention to age a little more than I did in the past. I'm not real sure where that's coming from. I have always been a strong believer in age as a state of mind. Perhaps that is a thought for the youthful; when age truly isn't a concern, unless you're wishing you were old enough to buy a beer.
I was never in any hurry to grow up, and if you ask my wife, she'll tell you I'm still on that path.
Oh well, another year to be me.... as long as old age let's me.

Well done old man. I with you next week.
The thing is this...they seem to come a little quicker the older you get....hope you had a good one big man.
Being a couple first digits past you, I can verify BIG JIM's comment that the older you get the faster they seem to go. Turns out that since each year is a smaller percentage of your life as the years go on that they are comparatively smaller. Who knew? State of mind is still all that matters anyhow.
Tear it up as long as you can.....and when our bodies finally crap out, we'll take to racing our hoverounds through the mall. Hope your b-day was tits!
hope your beer was not too salty
I gotta chime in here, Happy Day to you! Big Jim is absolutely right, they get quicker and quicker, being 44, I still feel 24 except when I can't sleep more than 5 hours straight because of back pain or that I walk like an old man upon rising. Just a few things for you to look forward, again Happy day to you but what is up with the china shopping email?
Kids make it go by even faster. It is a state of mind, not the getting slower, more cautious, take longer to get conditioned, conditioning leaving sooner part, that is a state of age. That how you see the world and yourself in it part is state of mind. I didn’t start feeling physically older till about 42 or 43. Not doubt it happened before that but that is when I started feeling it. Good birthday – my brother.
I've be celebrating the big 39 in 7 days in Sousousvlei, near Sesriem, Namibia. Hopefully I'll hike up Dune 45 and watch the sunrise over the largest dunes in the world before surfing back down on a board. What's so bad about being 39?
having fun, be a hell of a lot more fun if you were here.
Paul
